🌻 The Great Cochrane Sunflower Challenge 🌻
Presented by the Beautification Committee
Who Can Enter?
The competition is open to all residents of the Town of Cochrane and nearby unorganized hamlets and townships, including: Hunta, Brower, Fournier, Hanna, Nahma, Kennedy, Frederickhouse, Driftwood, Norembega, Clute, and Genier.
🏆 Contest Categories
🌱 Tallest Sunflower Plant Measured from the base of the stem (not including the roots) to the top of the head. The flower head will be extended upright for accurate height.
🌻 Biggest Sunflower Head Measured as the diameter of the seed head (petals will not be included in the measurement).
🌼 Most Blooms on One Stalk Count of all individual blooms, including unopened heads, on one stalk.
📋 Official Rules
One sunflower entry per category per person.
The same sunflower may be entered into multiple categories.
All entries must be registered by midnight, September 2, 2025.
Only one prize will be awarded per category.
Registration is required to participate. Forms are available online and must be submitted to the address below.
