The purpose of the Town of Cochrane Growth Study is to provide clear direction on where and how population, housing and employment growth should occur in Cochrane over the next 30 years. The results of this study serve as a foundational role for the next Town of Cochrane Official Plan Review exercise and other broader strategic initiatives. The Growth Study is intended to guide decision-making and policy development specifically related to planning and growth management, urban land needs, and long-range master planning for municipal services.

The Town of Cochrane has retained Watson & Associates Economists Ltd. to undertake the Growth Study lead by the Town's Acting CAO.
